Let's share some of our favorite verses or passages...

Here's a couple that I hope blesses everyone who reads them.

Prov 12:14 "From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things
as surely as the work of his hands rewards him."

Heb 13:15 "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name."

Blessings to all in God's infinite wisdom, peace and love.  S

My theme verse:

Isaiah 40:11  He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

You'll have to hear the testimony that makes this verse come alive for me....  grin

Isaiah 41:9
Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

susan, (and everyone else!) i've just installed a "bible tag" feature for easier quoting of scriptures.

when you're posting a message, you can now click the little cross icon (above the smilies). this will insert the "bible tags". just type your scripture reference between the tags, and once posted, it will auto-insert the text of the passage in KJV.

example:

Code:
[bible]Isaiah 41:9[/bible]

 comes out as

Isaiah 41:9
Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

Wow!  That's cool.

Psalm 118:6-7 (NIV) The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies.

Psalms 118:6-7
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

2 Ti 1:6-7  Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. ? For ?God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."  NKJV

"Fear" is refered to as "timidity" in NIV and NLT.
